AI Music Submission & Creator Acknowledgment

Thank you for submitting your music to [WEBSITE NAME] (“Station”). The Station is an independent, creator-focused internet radio platform intended to provide AI music creators with an opportunity to have their music heard as part of a continuous radio-style music rotation.

By submitting a song to the Station, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

1. You Own or Control the Rights to Your Submission

I represent and confirm that:

  • I am the creator, owner, or authorized representative of the music I am submitting.
  • I have the necessary rights and permissions to submit the recording to the Station.
  • My submission does not knowingly infringe upon or violate another person's copyright, trademark, publicity rights, privacy rights, or other legal rights.
  • If my submission contains material created by another person, I have obtained whatever permission or authorization is necessary for me to use and submit that material.

I understand that the Station relies upon my representation that I have the right to submit the music.

2. AI-Generated Music

If the submitted music was created using an artificial-intelligence music-generation service, I confirm that my use of that service and submission of the resulting music to the Station complies with the applicable terms, policies, and restrictions of that service.

I understand that the Station is not responsible for determining whether I have complied with the terms of an AI music-generation service.

3. Authorization to Play the Submitted Music

By submitting my music, I voluntarily authorize the Station to include my submitted recording in its internet-radio-style programming and to make the recording available to listeners through the Station's normal streaming service.

This authorization is limited to the Station's operation and promotion of its music-streaming service. It does not transfer ownership of my music to the Station.

I retain ownership of my music and all rights that I have not expressly authorized the Station to use.

4. No Ownership Transfer

Submitting music to the Station does not transfer ownership of the music, master recording, composition, lyrics, artwork, or other intellectual property to the Station.

The Station does not claim ownership of submitted music.

5. No Payment or Royalties

I understand that the Station is currently operated as a free, independently supported music platform and that submitting music does not create an expectation of payment, royalties, licensing fees, advertising revenue, or other compensation.

I understand that the Station does not currently promise any financial compensation for music submitted or played.

The Station may change its operating model in the future, including potentially introducing advertising, sponsorship, memberships, donations, subscriptions, or other forms of revenue. Submission of music does not automatically create an entitlement to any such future revenue.

6. No Guarantee of Airplay

I understand that submitting a song does not guarantee that the Station will play the song.

The Station may, at its discretion:

  • accept or reject a submission;
  • determine whether a song is appropriate for the Station;
  • determine when and how frequently a song is played;
  • remove a song from rotation;
  • temporarily suspend a song from rotation; or
  • discontinue playing a song for any reason.

7. Removal Requests

I may request that my submitted music be removed from the Station's rotation.

The Station will make reasonable efforts to remove the requested music from future programming after receiving a valid removal request.

I understand that removal may not immediately prevent a recording from appearing in already-created playlists, cached streams, recordings, archives, promotional materials, or other locations outside the Station's direct control.

8. Responsibility for Submitted Material

I understand that I am responsible for the music and other material that I submit.

I agree not to submit material that I know, or reasonably should know, I do not have the right to submit.

This includes, without limitation:

  • unauthorized samples;
  • copyrighted recordings belonging to others;
  • unauthorized lyrics;
  • unauthorized vocal performances;
  • unauthorized artwork;
  • material containing another person's name, image, or likeness without appropriate permission;
  • material that violates applicable law; or
  • material that violates the terms of an AI music-generation service used to create it.

9. Claims by Third Parties

If a third party makes a claim against the Station because of music or other material I submitted, I understand that the Station may contact me regarding the submission and may remove or suspend the material while the issue is investigated.

I agree to cooperate reasonably with the Station concerning questions about my submission and my rights to the submitted material.

10. Station's Right to Protect Itself

The Station may remove or suspend any submitted material if it receives a copyright complaint, rights complaint, legal notice, platform-policy complaint, or other credible concern regarding the material.

The Station does not have an obligation to determine which party is ultimately legally correct before temporarily removing material.

11. No Endorsement

The inclusion of my music on the Station does not constitute an endorsement by the Station of me, my business, my opinions, my beliefs, my other creative work, or any organization with which I may be associated.

Likewise, my participation as a creator does not constitute an endorsement by me of the Station or its owners or operators.

12. Creator Information

I understand that the information I provide with my submission may be used by the Station to identify my music, communicate with me about my submission, administer the Station, and respond to questions or rights-related issues.

The Station may identify my artist/creator name and song title when presenting my music to listeners.

13. Changes to the Station

I understand that the Station is independently operated and may change its programming, technology, streaming provider, website, format, ownership, or business model in the future.

The Station may discontinue its service entirely.

Nothing in this acknowledgment guarantees that the Station will operate indefinitely or that my music will remain available indefinitely.

14. Electronic Agreement

By checking the acknowledgment box and submitting my music, I confirm that:

  1. I have read and understood this Music Submission & Creator Acknowledgment.
  2. I am submitting the music voluntarily.
  3. I have the necessary rights or authorization to submit the music.
  4. The information I have provided is accurate to the best of my knowledge.
  5. I understand that my submission does not transfer ownership of my music to the Station.
  6. I authorize the Station to play my submitted music as described above.
  7. I understand that I am not being promised payment or royalties for submitting my music.
  8. I agree to the terms of this acknowledgment.
